Your Sunday Best: Easter

Your Sunday Best: Easter
Posted on

Growing up, I would constantly hear the term "put on your Sunday Best," especially around Easter time. With a flouncy floral dress, shiny polished shoes and a matching bow to seal the deal, this became a favored pastime. Soon enough, the need to look my best; with a sophisticated and put together outfit, came naturally to me. As I got older I also realized that my overly put together Easter looks didn't have to die down just because I'd grown up- and yours doesn't have to either! So, I've created a series of sophisticated outfits for the young, modern gal that she could wear to Easter service, Passover dinner or even a top of the line baby shower! I'm breaking up those old stereotypes of pastel pantsuit, exaggerated hats and horrible floral prints! So, get ready, brace yourself and put away that large Easter church hat- this ain't your grandma's Sunday Best!

LBD on Easter:

This chic dress goes against regular spring fashion norms with its unapologetic black color. The fit brings back vintage A-line circle skirts styles from popular 1960's fashion, with a modern off the shoulder neck line and a slimming belt at the waist. The bottom pattern of the dress might personally be my favorite part of the whole look- with a bright blue and tribal print pattern giving the dress a uniform pop of color!

Flower Power:

Remember those childhood Easter Sunday dresses? The large ones with big bright flower patterns that made you spin around all day? This gown is for the girl who misses those days and wants to bring back the floral look. The shocking royal blue is toned by the rich pink and peach pastel tones of the floral patterns, pulled together by a wrap-style design and a maxi dress length.

A Vintage Easter:

For anyone who has a flare for vintage looks, this pencil skirt silhouette dress is everything you need for your springtime festivities. The stunning fuchsia color, combined with the conservative-chic form and the 50's like v-neck shoulder is perfect for anyone wanting a Billie Holiday inspired glam. A great alternative for the usual large Easter hat, might be a side flower to the hair.

Curvy Easter Gal

A lot of Easter dresses are thought to be overly conservative, bulky and often lacking any kind of shape. This proves to be especially difficult for curvier fashionistas whose figures get lost under huge layers of ill-fitting fabric. With this dress I've got a solution to problem, a form fitting midi mermaids style dress with off the should layers at the shoulder. The mermaids silhouette gives off an ultra-feminine look and the pastel pink color is perfect for a springtime outfit.

Classically Chic Easter

This Easter outfit is for the classic woman in all of us, who wants to stay true to her roots with a chic and modern flare. The midi circle skirt design is supported by a textured pink pattern and layered by a delicate sheer fabric. This chic skirt is paired with a pinkish mauve satin top and finished off with a set of pearls. This outfit proves that an Easter dress doesn't always have to be the first option, sometimes a skirt will do just the right trick!
